Man kills wife, arrested in Hyderabad

According to police, the suspect, D Lingam, was a lorry driver and resident of Madhapur Village of Kandukur Mandal. Police said the incident took place around 10 am on March 10, when the suspect and his wife D Hymavathi had a dispute over money.

Hyderabad: A 27-year-old person, who allegedly killed his wife on March 10, was arrested by the Kandukur police here on Monday. According to police, the suspect, D Lingam, was a lorry driver and resident of Madhapur Village of Kandukur Mandal. Police said the incident took place around 10 am on March 10, when the suspect and his wife D Hymavathi had a dispute over money.

“Hymavathi, who wanted to attend an event in her village, asked her husband for money to purchase household items. When he refused, she argued with him, and in a fit of rage, he strangulated her to death with a sari,” said M Venkateshwar Rao, DCP, LB Nagar. Police produced the suspect before court and he was remanded in judicial custody.
