Visakhapatnam: Maoists have served an ultimatum to the Paderu MLA Giddei Eswari to disburse the Rs.20 crore which she had received from the ruling Telugu Desam Party among the public within two months, and apologise to the people, failing which she would meet the same fate as Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and former MLA Siveri Soma.

In a letter addressed to the Editors of Eenadu, Sakshi and Andhra Jyothi late on Tuesday night, the Central Committee of Maoists also demanded Eswari, who won on YSR Congress Party ticket in the 2014 elections, to oppose bauxite mining in the agency area and not to nurse any ambition of becoming a Minister.

The much-awaited letter from Maoists, expected since the killing of Sarveswara Rao and Soma on September 23 in Visakhapatnam agency area, said the duo was killed for betraying the people and the tribals. Both of them had confessed their crime therefore underwent stern punishment, the letter revealed.

The Maoists also addressed the police in the letter recalling that during the incident, they had left their armed police colleagues free with big heart as they were doing the job to eke out livelihood and wondered if the police would do such a thing without killing the Maoists.
