Hyderabad: AGNIi (Accelerating Growth of New India’s Innovations), a Government of India platform to boost innovation, has recognised the drone technology offered by Hyderabad-based Marut Dronetech, among 26 most trending technology solutions from the country to help fight Covid-19.

Marut has developed drone technology that helps in disinfectant spraying for large area sanitisation, crowd control and public warnings, thermal analysis for identification of human body temperature in crowded places, and delivery of medicines and critical supplies.

AGNIi is a national technology commercialisation programme aimed to boost the innovation ecosystem in the country by connecting innovators across industry, individuals and the grassroots to the market. It is an initiative by the office of the principal scientific adviser to the Government of India.

The unprecedented global health emergency is being made bit less devastating due to the availability of certain technologies. From telemedicine to online groceries, from drones to video conferencing—technology has been the backbone of medical care, relief and rescue in troubled Covid-19 times.
