Hyderabad: Mayor wants govt officials to attend corporators’ meetings

Hyderabad: Mayor Bonthu Rammohan said a request would be made to the State government to issue instructions to officials from all departments to take part in the meetings convened by corporators regularly to address the problems being faced by the residents at the municipal division level.

He said this while responding to a plea made by the TRS Ramgopalpet corporator, A Aruna that absence of officials concerned during the meetings was leading to the delay in addressing them. GHMC Commissioner, B Janardhan Reddy said a request would be made to Chief Secretary, SP Singh in this regard.

The meeting unanimously nominated members of ward committees and area sabhas. The meeting chaired by the Mayor passed resolutions unanimously nominating members to 114 ward committees and 276 area sabhas.

The Mayor complimented the civic body staff, officials and elected representatives for their contributions in successful conduct of Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in the city.
