Medak: Chousingha strays into human habitation, rescued

The citizens in Veldurthi noticed the Chousingha running helter-skelter as stray dogs and children were chasing it.

Chousingha is being handed over to Forest authorities by citizens at Veldurthi in Medak district on Thursday morning.

Medak: A Chousingha , which strayed into Veldurthi Mandal headquarters in Medak district, was rescued by the citizens on Thursday. With the help of the police, the citizens handed over the wild animal to forest authorities.

The citizens in Veldurthi noticed the Chousingha running helter-skelter as stray dogs and children were chasing it. However, some good samaritans gathered and caught hold of it within 15 minutes. They took the antelope to the local police station. Sub-inspector of Police, Gangaraju called the forest authorities who said they will release the animal into the wild after examining it for internal injuries, though there were no visible injuries.
