Medak: Sending a strong message to officials and public representatives, who were negligent in discharging their duties during Pattana Pragathi programme, Medak Collector K Dharma Reddy has suspended an officer, who was appointed as a Special Officer of 4th Ward of Medak Municipality.

The special officer had refrained himself from attending Pattana Pragathi programmes during the past three days. The officer Sharath Kulkarni, junior inspector, Cooperative Department, was appointed as Special Officer of the fourth ward.

The special officer actually was supposed to plan and conduct the Pattana Pragathi programme under the 4th ward, but he totally shirked his duty. He even did not take the calls of ward councillor and municipal commissioner forcing them to approach the Collector about the same.

The Collector placed him under suspension after conducting a thorough inquiry.
