Telangana: Six family members die in suicide pact in Suryapet

The family members reportedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide due to the pressure and guilt. More details of the incidents were yet to be known.

Suryapet: Six members of a family committed suicide by consuming pesticide at Mamillagadda in Suryapet town due to financial problems.

There were two women and two children among the victims. The victims were identified as Kasthuri Janardhan (55), Chandrakala (50), Ashok (25), Prabhatha(30), Sriri(5) and Ruthwika (20).

Kasthuri Suresh, son of Janardhan, was doing business of computer hardware services at Suryapet and borrowed money for his business. As he incurred losses in the business, he fled away lenders.

After this, the lender started coming to his home and pressured his family members for the repayment of the money. The family members reportedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide due to the pressure and embarrassment. More details of the incidents were yet to be known.

Four years back, family of K Saidulu comprised of two adults and four children also committed suicide by consuming poison in the same colony of Suryapet due to the financial problems.
