MGU to start five new courses from this academic year

Nalgonda: Five new courses would be started in Mahathama Gandhi University (MGU), Nalgonda, and admissions into these courses would start from the academic year 2019-20.
Admissions would be conducted for the new courses – M Ed, M PEd, MA (Development Studies), MA (Tourism) and MA (Telugu) in the university colleges through entrance test from this academic year.

Revealing this to the media, MGU Vice Chancellor Prof Khaja Althaf Hussein said that it has decided to launch new courses in addition to improving the quality of education in the university. Diploma courses in skill development would also be started in the university soon, he added. In collaboration with Industries department and private industries, Skill Development Centre would be setup on the premises of the university for the purpose, he said.

He informed that results of annual examinations-2019 of PG courses would be released in the month of July. Process was started to fill up 34 vacant faculty posts in the university. Executive Council meeting of the university was also approved the proposal of construction of first floor of engineering college building, Vice Chancellor’s guest house and internal ring road connecting all roads on the campus of the university.
