Nizamabad: Elected public representatives should strive to serve the people, their motto and aim must be to fulfil the desires of the people, said Transport minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy.
The Minister was speaking at a zilla parishad standing council meeting where he was the chief guest. ZP chairman D Vittal Rao also attended.
Reddy said public representatives should maintain transparency while implementing various government schemes and provide schemes to the people irrespective of political parties. ZP standing committee members should cooperate with the ZP Chairman in day-to-day activities.
The TRS government has launched various schemes for the betterment of the people, he said. The government is providing financial assistance to farmers through Rythu Bandhu, safe drinking water through Mission Bhagiratha, has renovated tanks through Mission Kakatiya among others.
The SRSP project would be full with Kaleshwaram waters soon.
Vittal Rao said ZP Standing council members elected unanimously and all the committee members should cooperate with ZP officials to solve the problems of the people. He urged the members to make the Haritha Haram programme successful and ensure that the district comes first in the State to bag the Rs 10 crore prize announced by the Chief Minister.
