Siddipet: An incident of three youth exploiting a 16-year-old girl, a native of Rayavaram in Jagadevpur Mandal, came to light on Thursday.
Two months ago a youth, who was not yet identified, made a missed call to the girl, who discontinued her studies two years ago. Since then, the youth, who introduced himself as a Venkat used to talk with the girl over the phone.
A week ago, Venkat (21) took out the girl on a bike ride to Gajwel, around 10 pm. He took her to a grave near Gajwel and assaulted her sexually. Meanwhile, two of his friends, who arrived at the place, also forced themselves upon her and dropped her back at home on the same night.
On May 15, the trio again came to Rayavaram village and made a phone call to her. When she refused to come out, they threatened to tell about their earlier act in the village forcing her to go with them.
The trio took the girl to Gopalpur Cross Road, where they again exploited her sexually. While they were on their way back home to drop the girl at Rayavaram at 1 am on Thursday, relatives of the girl saw them. The relatives chased the bike to catch them, but the trio managed to escape with the girl.
They drove the girl to the same graveyard, where they first raped her, located on the outskirts of Gajwel. They again sexually exploited the girl and snatched her ear studs. Later, they dropped her at Pragnapur Bus Stop.
Meanwhile, the parents and relatives started searching for the girl. The girl, who was almost in trauma, reached her home at 7 am on Thursday by bus. The girl broke down and narrated to parents how she was exploited. Since the youth were not from the village and the villagers never saw them, the police faced difficulty in tracing them. However, the girl had the phone number of one of the accused. The police identified the culprits but refused to disclose their identity.
The Jagadevpur Police were expected to show the arrest of the rapists on Saturday.
