The film MisMatch — the story of a wrestler featuring Uday Shankar with Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead — is all set to hit the screen on December 6 worldwide. To celebrate the release of their film, bankrolled by Bharat Ram, the makers held a pre-release event on Monday evening with Telangana Finance Minister, Harish Rao, ‘Victory’ Venkatesh and the legendary director K Raghavendra Rao as the chief guests.
Desapathi Srinivas and young hero Sri Vishnu also graced the occasion. Harish Rao said that films with new concepts and themes are being well-patronised by the audience regularly.
“MisMatch is being made with the backdrop of sports which will certainly impress the present-day’s audience. I personally appreciate Uday Shankar for holding a Guinness record at the age 15 itself. I wish that this film should bring all the fame and profits to the makers,” Harish Rao said.
Victory Venkatesh praised the film for being a women-centric film. “Those involved in the making of MisMatch are very close to me. I wish their hard work should bear fruit. I remember even today Uday Shankar’s best performance in Atagadara Siva. He is a fine actor. Aishwarya Rajesh did a fantastic job in this film too. Normally, I love the films which are women-centric,” Venkatesh said.
K Raghavendra Rao recollected those days when Aishwarya Rajesh’s mother worked for about 50 to 60 films at a stretch. He extended his warm wishes for the entire crew of the film. The director of MisMatch, Nirmal Kumar thanked all the guests for sparing time to attend the function and wishing them all the best.
“MisMatch is a full-length commercial entertainer. Every scene in the film will reach all the sections of the audience. Hero Uday practised the song from Tholi Prema for perfectly presenting it on-screen. Aishwarya got trained in wrestling for three months. She will be a highlight in the entire film,” Nirmal said.
