More rains to lash Hyderabad over next two days

Hyderabad: Rains which made their presence felt on Friday lashed the city intermittently on Saturday. In the next two days, the city is expected to receive light to moderate rains and thundershowers.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department – Hyderabad, the monsoon activity is due to a trough which is seen extending along the East Coast.

Due to this particular system,light rain and thundershowers are expected to continue over some parts of Telangana including Hyderabad during the next 48 hours, weather officials said. Thereafter, the rain intensity is expected to increase gradually over Hyderabad and adjoining areas.

The monsoon emergency teams which received complaints of water inundation and water logging from different parts of the city rushed to clear them. Water stagnation was cleared at Aramgarh underbridge, below flyover at Masab Tank, Krishnanagar, Vengalraonagar, Dabeerpura kaman and Lingampally.
