Hyderabad: For a party goer while the idea of gulping down glasses after glasses of their favourite drink might be a great thing, but the prospects of a bad hangover scares them. In addition to the hangover, alcohol consumption also affects the liver. So, in order to save you the embarrassment of smelling like a bottle of whisky the next day and to keep you refreshed, a natural hangover detox beverage — Morning Fresh — has come to your rescue in Hyderabad. Available in 60 ml portable bottles, the beverage not only helps in reducing the hangover but also prevents the liver from getting affected.
The working of the beverage is quite simple — you just have to take it as your last drink of the night after consuming alcohol and lo behold you will wake up feeling refreshed without any headache, dizziness and/or cramps. Morning Fresh contains substances like Silk Protein Hydrolysate, Vitamin C and most importantly Mulberry Leaf extract which help liver rapidly metabolize alcohol, flush out toxins from the system and prevent any damage to the liver. It is currently available in four flavours — Mint, Strawberry, Cola and Cinnamon.
“The Alcohol Dehydrogenase (ADH); a naturally occurring enzyme in the liver, gets suppressed when there is a lot of alcohol in the system. While home remedies like lime juice, curd are helpful in keeping hangover at bay but they are not always effective. We have done extensive research and conducted vast clinical trials to be sure that our beverage is a sure shot solution to keep hangover at bay,” said Mitali Tandon, founder, Morning Fresh.
The two-year-old company is part of a 10-year-old group called Healthline and has a unit in Bengaluru with a production capacity of making Rs 50 crore worth of beverages per year. The beverage that is available across bars, supermarkets, liquor stores and pharma outlets has already sold 10,000 units in only Bengaluru in the last one year. Currently, the beverage is available in Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai apart from Hyderabad and the company plans to enter Pune, Delhi, Kolkata and Goa in the next six to eight months.
“By the end of this year, we are aiming for sales worth Rs 3-5 crore and in the next five years we are looking at sales of Rs 25 crore. The product is available in over 100 outlets and in the next 2-3 months we will be present in over 1,000 outlets in the city,” said Tandon.
