Movie screenings, rallies mark Children’s Day in Telangana

Adilabad/ Mancherial: Cultural programmes and rallies were organised and movies were screened to mark Children’s Day in Mancherial and Adilabad on Tuesday.

In Mancherial, Collector RV Karnan watched films screened in Sreenivas theatre on the final day of celebrations. Children turned up in large of numbers for watching movies.
School children also presented a dance programme. Later, Collector distributed prizes to winners of essay writing competitions. He was joined by Deputy Commissioner of Police MS Venugopal Rao and District Child and Women Welfare Officer Rauf Khan.

In Adilabad police took out a massive rally to create awareness on sexual abuse against children. The rally was conducted from Telangana State Residential Junior College for girls to Collector Chowk. The students who participants in the rally raised slogans against child abuse. The rally was flagged off by Superintendent of Police M Sreenivas. Adilabad DSP K Narasimha Reddy was present.
