Hyderabad: Technology has touched many sectors but the security industry has not seen much technological intervention. In order to provide seamless security solution to the gated communities, Bengaluru-based myGate has developed a mobile-based security management solution and has launched its operations in Hyderabad.
The startup has developed an app-based system that offers a comprehensive solution for gated communities to manage all operations at the entry and exit gates.
“The security industry has not seen much technological advancement and this is where we wanted to provide our solution. The app on the one hand provides security guard a fully digitized solution to monitor visitors at the gate and on the other hand the residents are provided with an app on their phone to notify security about possible visitors like delivery executives, cabs, maids and guests,” said Vijay Arisetty, CEO and co-founder, myGate.
Within 50 days of the app’s soft launch in Hyderabad it has secured orders from 30 gated communities is targeting 400 by the year-end. Overall, myGate plans to secure two million households in the next two years. And currently it provides its solution to 500 communities in Bengaluru and Hyderabad together.
“We plan to get into Mumbai and Pune by end of this year and are also looking at introducing more advanced features into our solution. We already have capabilities like child safety alerts, staff attendance, infrastructure-free vehicle management, visitor overstay alerts and much more,” said Abhishek Kumar, co-founder, myGate.
Average pricing for the deployment of the solution will range between Rs 7,000 to Rs 9,000, although Arisetty informs that it will depend on how many devices the community needs. The two-year-old startup is in a market size which is worth Rs 3,000 crore and is touted to increase three-fold in the next three years.
