Mancherial: TRS candidate from Chennur Assembly constituency Balka Suman launched a scathing attack against Opposition parties even as he explained people about various welfare schemes and development works initiated by the TRS government.

Addressing election rallies in Narsingapur, Maddulapalli, Bejjala, Shetpalli, Elikanti and Gangipelli villages in Jaipur mandal on Tuesday, Suman said, “Both the Congress and the TDP tried to stall irrigation projects of Telangana. They filed 196 cases against Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme alone and 36 cases against Palamuru Lift Irrigation Scheme, a lifeline of Mahabubnagar district. TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is opposing the division of the High Court and employees between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.”

Suman told people that TRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao had dissolved the House following obstructions caused by the Opposition parties. Still, the two parties — TDP, Congress — were trying to deceive the public by forging an alliance, setting their ideologies aside. They were making efforts to dethrone TRS party, he added.

“Should the party be dethroned for implementing Kalyana Lakshmi, Rythu Bandhu, Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya schemes and enhancing social security pensions? Should it be defeated for conceiving flagship irrigation projects? Should KCR be divested of power after struggling for Telangana for 14 years?” he questioned speaking at a rally in Shetpalli village.

The candidate alleged that TDP supremo N Chandrababu had struck a Rs 500-crore deal with the Congress as he was unable to face the TRS and entered into an alliance with the party and others. He requested electors not to trust the words of leaders from both the TDP and the Congress. He faulted them for not supplying fine quality rice to government-run hostels and schools as being implemented by the TRS government.

“It is not good to hand over the State to looters. It will take some more time for the TRS president and its government to address all the long-pending issues. Only KCR is the protector of Telangana and he can develop it like never before. So, you bless KCR and me. I will play a vital role in the growth of this constituency,” he assured the gathering at Bejjala.
