Nalgonda: 50 tmc of water for NSP canal in 78 days

Nalgonda: Water would be released to the Left Canal of Nagarjuna Sagar Project (NSP) for 78 days in seven phases for Vaanakalam crop season.

According to the schedule released by NSP officials on water release to the Left Canal, it was decided to release a total of 50 tmc of water in 78 days in seven phases between August 7 and November 28. In the first phase, water released to the Left Canal would continue for 28 days — August 7 to 30.

Water would again be released to the Left Canal for nine day from September 6 to 14 in the second phase and from September 21 to 29 in the third phase. The fourth phase of water release to the canal would be from October 6 to 14. Water would be released into the canal from October 21 to 29 in the fifth phase and November 5 to 13 in the sixth phase. In the seventh phase, water would be released to NSP Left Canal from November 20 to 28.
