National trade unions observe bandh in Mancherial

Followers and members of the trade unions including All India Trade Union of Congress (AITUC), Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) took part in the three-day long strike and did not attend duties

Mancherial: National trade unions observed a bandh of coal mines and opencast projects across Srirampur, Mandamarri and Bellampalli Areas of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), opposing Union government’s decision to auction 41 coal blocks, on Friday.

Followers and members of the trade unions including All India Trade Union of Congress (AITUC), Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), International Federation of Trade Unions (IFTU), Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS) took part in the three-day long strike and did not attend duties.

According to officials of Srirampur Area, around 40 percent of employees did not turn for duties. Production was declined due to the strike. It may be mentioned Telangana Boggu Ghani Karmika Sangham’s (TBGKS) a day-long strike opposing Union government’s move to auction 41 coal blocks, was successful in several parts of Mancherial district on Thursday.
