Hyderabad: To provide startups early stage handholding and access to market, Naya Ventures along with BootUP Ventures and Z Nation Lab has launched a global accelerator programme in India. The nine month long programme is divided into three parts – the first part is a three month coaching by Z Nation Lab in India, the second is a three month programme in California and finally, last three months the startup spends in Dallas.
Speaking about the programme, Dayakar Puskoor, MD, Naya Ventures said, “This is the first time that such an accelerator programme has been launched in India. At first, the startups will be coached by Z Nation Labs and after passing out from there, they will get to the next level wherein in California they will get an investment of about $200,000 – $300,000. In the final stage in Dallas, the startup will be getting a funding of $2-$3 million.”
The programme, according to Puskoor, will help startups not only get investment but also get access to customers and mentors. The consortium backed by the Telangana government is inviting startups from the State to apply for this programme.
Startups applying for the programme will be first selected for a one-week bootcamp in India where they will be evaluated by experts from India and Silicon Valley on their product market fit, go to market strategy and ability to scale up globally. Each participant will get an opportunity to pitch their product and interact with the mentors and investors from across the globe. From the participants 15 startups will then be picked up for the Bootcamp programme in Silicon Valley, US.
Other than the funding, the startups will also get potential credits by Amazon Web Series, Paytm, Microsoft, IBM Watson, Sendgrid, Mail Chimp, Google, etc.
