Need for speedy disposal of cases: Telangana High Court

Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan visited Khammam on Tuesday to inspect the infrastructure facilities available at the district and held a review meeting with advocates and judges.

Khammam: Telangana High Court Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan on Tuesday urged the advocates and judges to ensure speedy disposal of cases pending in the courts.

He visited Khammam on Tuesday to inspect the infrastructure facilities available at the district and held a review meeting with advocates and judges. Speaking on the occasion, he wanted the legal fraternity to make efforts to impart justice to the litigants as fast as possible. He also wanted to make the judiciary more effective by ensuring easy access to justice to all.

Upon his arrival here Justice Chauhan was given a warm welcome by Khammam District Collector RV Karnan, the district Principal Judge M Laxman and by a host of judges and district officials.

He went around the District Court premises and appreciated the authorities over the facilities at the court. He made several suggestions to the District Judge on making further improvements at the court.

The Chief Justice also held a meeting with Collector Karnan, Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal, Kothagudem Collector Rajat Kumar Saini, Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt, District Legal Service Authority secretary Vinod Kumar and others.

Additional District Judge V Balabhasker, Joint Collector Anurag Jayanti, Assistant Collector Hanmanthu Kodimba, SC/ST court judge Mohammad Rafi, family court judge Jamaleswar Rao, magistrates Jayamma, Anitha Reddy, Rubina Fathima and others were present.
