Hyderabad: Anjani Kumar, who took charge as the new Police Commissioner of Hyderabad called on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at his chamber in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, here on Tuesday. Later, the Commissioner also met Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy.
Anjani Kumar, an IPS official of 1990 batch who was serving as Additional DGP, (Law and Order) Telangana was posted as Hyderabad City Police Commissioner by the state government on Sunday. He took charge on Monday.
The new Police Commissioner also had a meeting with the Mayor, B Rammohan and GHMC Commissioner, B Janardhan Reddy.
The GHMC Commissioner briefed Kumar about the convergence meeting held every month with department heads to discuss and chart out solutions on civic issues in the city.
