Hyderabad: Telangana State Employees Association has supported the government’s move to construct a new state of the art secretariat in place of the old secretariat saying that the new complex will help in better administration by bringing different departments under one roof. President of the Association A Padmachary in a statement recalled the days when the staff used to run from pillar to post to meet Ministers and officials in different blocks. There were no proper wash room facilities for the staff and visitors in those old secretariat buildings, he said.
“Construction of a new secretariat is a part and parcel of reconstruction of a new Telangana State,” he said. The Association also welcomed the statement of Chief Minister regretting the damage occurred to religious places. The association said that they fully support the efforts of the Chief Minister in protecting democratic values in the State as a protagonist of Telangana movement.
While urging opposition parties not to act against the interest of the people of Telangana, the association said that the government under the leadership of K Chandrashekhar Rao is paving a bright future for the State.
