Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruti, a State-based NGO, rescued a Hyderabadi woman from the clutches of a Kuwait employer and helped her return home safely.

Kausar Begum from Hyderabad went to Kuwait on the promise of a Gulf agent by spending lakhs of money she borrowed from moneylenders. Though she was initially informed to help an elderly couple as a nurse, the employer reportedly started to harass her physically and mentally and also did not pay her salary.

When the victim informed her relatives in Nizamabad about her plight, they immediately approached Nizamabad MP K Kavitha who directed the case to Telangana Jagruti president Mutyala Vinay.

The Kuwait chapter members, led by its vice president Vijaya Nirmala, rescued Kausar Begum and took her to the Indian Embassy where her documentation was completed in two-three days. The NGO also arranged for her travel and provided her with some money and clothes before she boarded her flight back home.
