After delivering spectacular performance in the Telugu movies iSmart Shankar and Mr Manju last year, Nidhhi Agerwal is coming back on screen with Tamil movie Bhoomi this year.
In a conversation with Hyderabad Today, she described movies as “art which is an imitation of society”. While speaking about her upcoming projects, she said, “I am excited for Bhoomi. I have also signed for a movie by Sriram Aditya. You will get to know the movie title soon.”
Talking about her acting career, she said, “I knew I wanted to be an actor since I can remember. Acting has been my passion since I was 3. I love dance and I am happy where I am today.”
While commenting on the portrayal of woman in the industry, she asserted, “I don’t believe that women were ever portrayed weak in the industry as it is argued. We have seen great actors like Mumtaaz and Shabana Azmi playing strong roles in movies in the past.”
The actor believes in whatever role she takes up. “I would like to do more Indianised characters in movies. It’s too early for me to do a biographical movie but in the future, I would love to do a biopic. It’s my dream,” she said excitedly.
The Munna Michael actor loves OTT platforms and believes that it has enhanced the movie experience . “I binge watch them. My current favourite is a biopic on Jayalalitha.”
She was last seen in Punjabi singer Badshah’s song album Aaho which was released in October last year.
