Hyderabad: Mercury dropped sharply in the city and outskirts in the early hours of Saturday with Serilingampally recording a low of 12.4 degree Celsius.
For the last few days, the night temperature in various parts of the city has been dipping and the average minimum temperature of 15.8 degree Celsius was recorded in Hyderabad this morning.
According to the forecast by India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad, the northeastern monsoon has withdrawn from the southern parts of the country. However, due to the western disturbances, the temperatures in several parts of the city are likely to dip on Sunday and Monday.
While in most parts of the city the night temperature might range from 11 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius, the mercury in areas located towards the outskirts of the city might dip below 10 degree Celsius. Looking at the situation, IMD-H has issued a five day Yellow alert for Hyderabad.
Several districts of Telangana are again suffering from a cold wave-like situation. It is likely that night temperatures in districts Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal and Mancherial might dip below 10 degree Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday. IMD-H has issued an orange warning for these districts.
