Warangal: Director, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, Prof N V Ramana Rao cautioned students who are eligible to join the NITs/IITs not to give any scope for laxity while filling choices during the online admission process stressing that ‘choice filling’ is very crucial and any mistake during this stage will cost them big.
NIT has conducted an online awareness programme on JOSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority)-2021 counselling for admissions into IITs, NITs, and other Central funded technical institutions on Sunday via online mode. This is the fourth time a programme of such a kind was organised by the NITW to help prospective students seeking admission to NITs and IITs.
Congratulating the candidates who scored good marks in the JEE -2021 examination, Prof Ramana Rao has explained to them about academic programmes, research activities, placements, facilities, and international collaborations of the NITW. “In view of the New Education Policy (NEP-2020), the NIT Warangal has redesigned the curriculum in B Tech branches and as well as other PG Courses in the 2021-22 academic year. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has recently inaugurated Siemens Centre of Excellence(CoE) and smart grid electricity laboratory at NIT Warangal. This centres to promote the industry-based curriculum,” he said. Nearly 5000 students and their parents/relatives have attended the programme from throughout the country.
Prof Rao has advised parents to spend time and know about various programmes offered by various institutes across the country and take the correct decisions while making order of preference at the time of choice filling. Candidates who have secured a seat in the JEE Counseling are required to report online as there is no possibility of physical attendance reporting due to COVID-19 conditions.
Details of the JEE counselling awareness programme are made available on the YouTube link and on the NIT Warangal website.
