Warangal Urban: Department of Chemistry, NIT Warangal, will organise an International Conference on ‘Advances in Chemical Sciences and Technologies’ (ACST 2019) from September 23 to 25. This conference is organised as part of diamond jubilee celebrations of National Institute of Technologies and to earmark the International Year of Periodic Table of chemical elements as declared by the Unesco.
The conference will start on September 23 at 9.30 am in the auditorium of Dr BR Ambedkar Learning Centre of the Institute. Prof Goverdhan Mehta, former Vice Chancellor of University of Hyderabad and Director of Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, will be the chief guest and key note speaker of the inaugural function. Prof Mehta is a recipient of many awards, including Padmashri, and has earned honorary doctorate degrees from many universities. He will be delivering a key note lecture on ‘Chemistry – A 21st Century Science for Global Sustainability: Is it Future Ready?’.
Along with other speakers, 150 young researchers and scientists from different parts of the country will participate.
