Nizamabad: Nizamabad police arrested an inter-district vehicle lifter who stole 29 two-wheelers from Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts. The vehicles were seized from him. Earlier, he had stolen 17 bikes in Nizamabad and Adilabad districts and was imprisoned but came out on bail recently.

According to Nizamabad ACP Srinivas Kumar, Fifth Town SI Johan Reddy was conducting vehicle-checking at Varni road in the town, when they stopped and asked Md. Ahmed Hussein for his vehicle documents. He did not have proper documents, gave vague answers, and later confessed that he had stolen the vehicle near the forest office.

During investigation, the police realised he was a vehicle lifter, belonging to Bhainsa town in Nirmal district, who had been stealing vehicles in Nizamabad, Adilabad, Nirmal and Kamareddy districts since 2018.

ACP Srnivas Kumar appreciated Nizamabad circle inspector Srinath Reddy, SI John Reddy, ASI Shakeel and police constables Venugopal, Chandrasekhar and Afsar for nabbing the criminal.
