Hyderabad: Farmers cashing their Rythu Bandhu cheques have been doing so without facing any problems, Agriculture Principal Secretary C Parthasarathi said here on Monday.
The Rythu Bandhu beneficiaries have been cashing their cheques from eight banks and availability of cash to meet their demand has also been ensured, he said.
Chairing a review and status meeting with bankers and department official at his chambers, Parthasarathi said cash availability for the scheme at banks was ensured thanks to advance steps taken by the State government.
On the issue of some farmers who have not received their pattadar passbooks because of various reasons, he said such individuals can approach the Tashildar concerned to receive an authentication certificate to receive their Rythu Bandhu input assistance cheques.
He directed bankers to print separate cheques for such farmers and ensure their distribution on the last day of the week-long drive.
Meanwhile, responding to the ‘Give it up’ programme, two farmers G Padma Rao and C Sushma Rao from Ananthasagar village of Kondapur mandal in Sangareddy district, on Monday returned Rythu Bandhu cheques worth Rs 95,910 to Parthasarathi at the Secretariat.
