Normalcy at Telangana-AP border after students to enter Andhra

With closure of the hostels in Hyderabad and issuance of NOC by Hyderabad police to allow the students to travel, hundreds of students reached the state border.

Suryapet: Normalcy prevailed at the state border near Ramapuram Cross Road after the students, who furnished the No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Police, were allowed to enter Andhra Pradesh state after 4 am of Thursday.

With closure of the hostels in Hyderabad and issuance of NOC by Hyderabad police to allow the students to travel, hundreds of students reached the state border. But the Andhra Pradesh police did not allow the vehicles to enter into their state, leading to a huge pile up at the Ramapuram cross road on the border.

The Suryapet SP Bhaskaran reached the place and monitored the situation. After intervention of the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K T Rama Rao, decks were cleared for the people including 500 students who were waiting at the state border for more than six hours to enter into their native place due to the instructions from the AP government. After thermo screening test, they were allowed to cross the border to reach their native places in Andhra Pradesh state.

With the lock down in AP, no vehicles from the side of Vijayawada were coming towards the border at Ramapuram Cross Road. With this, the state border as wore a deserted look.

On the other hand, vehicles piled up at Wapallly border check post with the state police stopping the people going to their native places in Andhra Prtadesh. People were seen arguing with the police accusing them of creating hurdles to reach their native places in AP.
