Notorious thief held in Nalgonda, over 8 tolas of gold recovered

Nalgonda: Miryalaguda police on Tuesday arrested a notorious inter-State thief and recovered 8.83 tolas of gold and eight tolas of silver worth Rs 2.45 lakh from his possession.

The arrested were identified as Ramavath Ravi (24), a native of Kunkudchett thanda of Peddavoora mandal in the district.

Presenting the arrested before media persons, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Miryalaguda Srinivas said the arrested persons were involved in 31 cases of theft in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

On credible information, the police tracked the thief and caught hold of him when he was trying to mortgage booty at Muthoot Finance in Miryalaguda town.
