Hyderabad: Self-drive mobility platform Zoomcar announced the launch of its smart cycle sharing service PEDL in Hyderabad.

PEDL will serve the metro passengers and residents looking to commute short distance, errand running, grocery shopping and solve the purpose for last mile connectivity.

Zoomcar has deployed over 100 cycles which are spread across the Metro Rail stations at Begumpet, Prakash Nagar, Rasoolpura and Paradise in the city. It is promoting the service at an introductory price of Re 1 per hour with zero security deposit. Users can download the Zoomcar android app, find cycles at the nearest PEDL station and scan the QR code on the cycle to unlock.

Greg Moran, CEO and co-founder, Zoomcar, “The response to PEDL during pilot in Hyderabad has been overwhelming with over 2,000 bookings daily. The collaboration with Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited is an easy access to commuters looking to pedal around short distance from metro station.
