NTPC Ramagundam receives Business Excellence Award

Executive Director, NTPC, and Regional Executive Director (South) are receiving the award from Power Minister in New Delhi

Peddapalli: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power and Renewable Energy RK Singh presented Business Excellence Award to National Thermal Power Corporation on Tuesday.

NTPC Ramagundam unit secured the second position in NTPC Business Excellence Model 2017. Regional Executive Director (South) KRC Murthy and Executive Director D K Dubey received the award at a function held in New Delhi.

Earlier, Power Minister Singh inaugurated NTPC’s International Operation and Maintenance Conference “Indian Power Stations-2018”.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said NTPC had had a remarkable journey. They had increased in size, stature and reputation and known for their best practices and efficiency.

The first-ever generating unit of NTPC commenced generation at the flagship Singrauli power station, on the same day (February 13) in 1982.

Senior officials from CERC, CEA, Ministry of Power and Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC, were present on the occasion.
