Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Nucon Aerospace, a manufacturer of high precision control systems for the marine, ground and aerospace industries, has opened its largest production facility for manufacturing, assembly and testing of aviation space and defence products at Nadergul village, Adibatla in Hyderabad.
The facility has been inaugurated by KT Rama Rao, Minister for IT E&C, MAUD, Industries & Commerce, Mines & Geology, Public Enterprises and NRI Affairs, Government of Telangana, Naini Narshimha Reddy, Minister of Home Affairs, Government of Telangana, Jayesh Ranjan, principal secretary, Information Technology (IT), Government of Telangana, in the presence of G Satheesh Reddy, DG, Missiles and Strategic Systems and Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri, S Somanath, director, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), ISRO, V Udaya Bhaskar, CMD, Bharat Dynamics, BHVS Narayana Murthy, director, Research Centre Imarat (RCI) and G Chandramouli, associate director, DRDL and project director, Akash and Hemant Jalan, CMD, Nucon.
Speaking on the occasion, highlighting the strengths of Hyderabad, KTR said, “Hyderabad is making strides in aerospace and defence sectors. The State government is taking initiatives to make the city hub for these sectors. Two Aerospace Parks are operational one each in Adibatla and Shamshabad and efforts are on to kickstart the third Aerospace Park soon.”
He added, “The State government has signed a MoU with UK-based Cranfield University to create an Aviation university in Hyderabad. The city will also host a two-day Deftronics summit on August 31 and September 1 that will help showcase the achievements and strengths of capabilities of industry and research laboratories.”

Over the years, Nucon has made significant inroads into multiple product categories within the industry and has produced some of the critical and path-breaking products such as control actuation systems, embedded control systems, avionics, cable assemblies and low pressure and high pressure pneumatic systems.
As the aerospace and defence sectors demand high-performance mechanism and component, Nucon with its contemporary equipment and laboratories could meet the requirements.
