Nirmal: Telangana State Planning Commission Vice-Chairman S Niranjan Reddy expressed satisfaction with the facilities and academic performance of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT)-Basar. He visited the institution and had a meeting with the authorities of the varsity on Wednesday.
Niranjan Reddy had a look at various amenities, teaching process, teaching and non-teaching staff, campus recruitments, welfare measures for students, medical services, sports facilities and success stories of pupils, with the help of a power-point presentation given by the authorities. He appreciated the faculty members for playing a vital role in the performance of the institution.
He said that the University was providing quality technical education to the poor rural students. He opined that students of Telangana would be able to get this education if similar institutions were created across the State. He stated that he would bring this to the notice of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
Earlier, Reddy along with Chief Minister’s Personal Assistant Arun Kumar visited the ancient Sri Gnana Saraswathi Devasthanam and performed special prayers. They were received by the temple’priests and executive officer A Sudhakar Reddy. They were felicitated by the management of the shrine.
Mudhole MLA G Vittal Reddy, RGUKT administration officer Venkataswamy, deans Sainath, Ranadheer and faculty members were present.
