Hyderabad: Deputy District Extension and Media Officer was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at Splendid Rainbow Ultra Scanning Centre on Monday when he allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a doctor, Ramulu Jharpula.
Keesari Chandraiah was posted at the office of District Medical and Health Officer in Vikarabad. He demanded bribe from the doctor at Mahavir Institute of Medical Science in Vikarabad to process the file for issuing a registration certificate of the scanning centre. The bribe was recovered from Chandraiah and his both hands tested positive in the chemical test.
The ACB officials arrested Chandraiah and produced him before the special court for ACB cases after which he was remanded in judicial custody.
