Nagarkurnool: Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has instructed officials to complete intra-village pipeline works and install taps in every house in the district by July and ensure every house and government educational institution are provided with water connections under Mission Bhagiratha.
He reviewed the status of Rythu Bandhu cheques, passbook distribution and Mission Bhagiratha implementation with district officials at the District Collectorate on Wednesday.
Observing that currently bulk water supply was being given to 250 habitations out of the total 743 habitations in the district, he directed the officials to ensure the supply without any interruption.
Out of the total 1.66 lakh households, he said that material was supplied for tap connections covering 1.58 lakh households and asked officials to procure the remaining material for 8,000 households as soon as possible.
He also directed the officials to go from door to door to check details regarding farmers who had not received cheques and passbooks due to various reasons and ensure mistakes and discrepancies were corrected within three days. He asked them to identify migrants and NRIs and issue them cheques immediately. He also asked the officials to get data from farmers who didn’t have Aadhaar numbers and issue cheques to farmers who did have Aadhaar cards.
