Officials told to give passbooks to all farmers in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Joint Collector GV Shyam Prasad Lal instructed Tahsildars to distribute pattadar passbooks to all eligible farmers.

JC conducted review meeting with Tahsildars to discuss about land disputes and distribution of pattadar passbooks at the Collectorate conference hall here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he instructed officials to issue passbooks to undisputed lands wherein there were no court cases. He wanted the officials to mutate land onto the names of family members of deceased farmers or land owners, he said. Also mutate the land onto the name of new owners, who purchased land from others.

Instructing officials to link farmers’ accounts with Aadhaar, he wanted the officials to complete all land disputes as early as possible.

Besides, marking land accounts to Dharani website, complete all mutations and pending mutations. No land issue should be pending for more than one week in computer systems, he said and asked officials to identify village-wise land disputes and take steps to solve them.
