Nizamabad: Mission Bhagiratha officials should speed-up works to meet the target and supply drinking water in time, said Nizamabad Collector M Rammohan Rao.
After assuming charge Nizamabad Collector Rammohan Rao on Sunday conducted inspections at various places of Nizamabad district, along with Joint Collector Ravinder Reddy. He inspected Mission Bhagiratha intake wells, land records purification, Harita Haram nurseries at Balkonda Mandal of Nizamabad district.
Collector on Sunday inspected Jalalpoor intake-well at SRSP and enquired Superintendent Engineer Ramesh about progress of Mission Bhagiratha.
The SE said Mission Bhagiratha works were going on according to the schedule and water would be supplied to 73 villages of Balkonda Assembly Constituency and Korutla, Jagtial and Dharmapuri Assembly Constituencies from Jalalpoor intake well through six motors, so far two motors had been brought and the remaining should reach within few days. He said 6.5 TMC’s were being stored at SRSP for drinking water purpose.
Collector also inspected Mission Bhagiratha pumping station at Jalalpor and Argul, he also visited Balkonda mandal tahsildar office and inspected the land records purification programme.
JC Ravinder Reddy explained the Collector about land records purification programme, land survey, pahani making and details being uploaded onto website.
Later Collector visited Balkonda government hospital and interacted with patients and hospital staff. Patients said hospital staff were providing satisfactory healthcare services.
He also visited Harita haram Nursery and asked nursery staff to achieve target and provide sufficient saplings for Harita Haram programme.
