Visakhapatnam: The online test conducted to select Assistant Professors for universities in Andhra Pradesh was in gross violation of rules, ‘Padmabhushan’ Prof Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad said here on Saturday.
Speaking to to reporters, he said that the test was conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission without taking into consideration the opinion and feelings of educational experts.
“In the past, faculty recruitment was done taking into consideration teaching and research experience, awards received and personal interview. But today, the selection mode is unscientific.
The APPSC put pressure on Vice-Chancellors and governing body members to adopt resolutions for conducting the online test,” he alleged.
