Over 28,000 students visit World Space Week exhibition in Kothagudem

SCCL officials present certificates to a winner at the valedictory of World Space Week celebrations at Kothagudem on Sunday.

Bhadradri Kothagudem: The three-day space exhibition organised by Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Sriharikota Range (SHAR), concluded on Sunday.

The SDSC organised the event at KCOA Club at Kothagudem in association with The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), marking World Space Week celebrations.

According to the organisers, over 28,000 students from across Bhadradri Kothagudem district visited the exhibition. The objective of the space exhibition was to motivate student community to study science.

S Chandrashekar, SCCL director OP, PA&W, B Bhaska Rao, Director (Projects and Planning), TS Raghuram, general manager APD-GSLV, SDSC, and D Vaasanthi, DEO were present at the valedictory ceremony.

The winners of quiz, science fair and drawing competitions conducted at primary, high school, intermediate, diploma and degree level were given certificates.

Another test will be held for the first two prize winners from the 13 centres across India and top two winners will be taken to Sriharikota to witness satellite launching.
