Painting contest, marathon mark Children’s Day in Hyderabad

HFC members interacted with students to rekindle the passion for football among younger generation

Hyderabad: On the occasion of Children’s Day, different social organisations and voluntary groups organised a series of events in the city on Thursday. The Round Table India organised ‘Taare Zameen Par’, a unique painting competition for differently-abled children at Begumpet Palace Function Hall. The participating children revelled in colours and were royally treated with their choicest dishes like noodles, manchuria, biryani, etc. and given gift hampers besides
prizes.

The tiny tots at the Jain Toddlers, an international playschool which is part of Jain group of institutions (JGI), celebrated Children’s Day by participating in a 1K marathon and 1K cycling, organised for children below six years at Pala Pitta Cycling Park at Kondapur. Around 75 kids participated enthusiastically on their bicycles and tricycles along with the parents, after a warm up.

Hyderabad FC as a part of their mission to rekindle the passion for football and revive the legacy of the sport within the younger generation, interacted with the students from Rockwell School and Aga Khan Academy on the occasion of Children’s Day. Hyderabad FC team represented by Anuj Kumar, Sahil Panwar, Rohit Kumar, Sahil Tavora, Ashish Rai, Deependra Negi, Tarif Akhard and Abhishek Halder visited the schools in groups and spent quality time with the students. The players interacted with the students and encouraged them to play football and displayed some tricks with the football.
