Jagitial: Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar said that Palle Pragathi aimed at changing the face of villages. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had designed the programme to ensure comprehensive growth of rural areas, he added.

The Minister along with local MP B Venkatesh Netha participated in Palle Pragathi at Shakapur and Kapparaopet of Velgatur mandal on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Eshwar said that villages turned into model spaces after the launch of Palle Pragathi programme. He instructed officials to arrange tree guards to saplings planted as part of Haritha Haram and construct graveyards and dumping yards. The main aim of the programme was to eradicate the garbage from rural areas and maintain cleanliness, he informed and asked the people to work together for the success of the programme.
