Hyderabad: Techies in Madhapur will have a new hangout in the form of the swanky arena set up by Phoenix Foundation at the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) Park here.
The new cultural hangout, ‘Phoenix Arena’, is spread over 3.5 acres in the heart of the IT hub, and will be inaugurated by Industries and Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday.
“With the advent of Phoenix Arena, there will be a new breeze flowing through the city. Rich traditions, arts, cultures, drama, dance, yoga, library and music will flow through the air crossing the borderless venue,” officials said, adding that Phoenix Arena would be a one-of-its-kind venue that welcomes diverse talents every day.
“TSIIC Park Phoenix Arena is more of a concept than a place and was conceived and conceptualized by Suresh Chukkapalli, Chairman of Phoenix Group,” a statement said. The arena was built to promote art and culture of Hyderabad under the Phoenix Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility activities, at a cost of Rs. 1.25 crore.
The park will have an amphitheatre with a sitting capacity of 400, an indoor auditorium which can accommodate 150 persons. a 1,500 square feet art gallery and a library equipped with 5000 books. Free Wi-Fi, a cafe, a cycle station will also be among the other amenities.
