PMS Boduppal: Kids don the role of freedom fighters at pre I-Day fete

Pallavi Model School, Boduppal conducted a virtual assembly to mark pre-Independence Day. It was an attempt to inculcate the spirit of oneness among the students, the school said. Pre-primary students adorned themselves in the attire of white kurta-pajama and had a great time in the assembly.

The special assembly conducted by PP1 and PP2 children reverberated with speeches, songs and dances. PP2 children were dressed up as national leaders and spoke about national freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sarojini Naidu, Bhagat Singh, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai, Mangal Pandey et all. This was followed by the fancy dress competition, the theme of which was national symbols.

Speakers at the event cast light on India’s freedom struggle, the contribution of leaders and the progress the country made in various fields in the last 70 years.
