Warangal Urban: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police along with Subedari police arrested a house burglar on Monday and recovered Rs 34 lakh worth stolen property including 637 grams of gold ornaments, 1.180 kgs of silver ornaments, two cameras, one tab, a power bank, seven wrist watches and six mobile phones.
The arrested was identified as Sayyad Khairnar, son of Sayyad Khaja, of Police Colony, Julaiwada in Hanamkonda. He stays in Warangal and Hyderabad.
Presenting him before the media here on Monday, Police Commissioner V Ravinder said the accused had committed a total of 14 burglaries under Warangal police commissionerate limits since 2017.
“The accused went to Dubai twice to work there. But he was removed from the job due to misconduct. Following this, he returned to India and started working as an autorickshaw driver. But he was addicted to liquor and wanted to earn easy money, and began committed house burglaries,” the CP added.
Police arrested him while he was on his way to the Bullion Market in Warangal to sell the stolen property.
