Police nabs four, seize 36 kg ganja in Mahabubabad

Peddavangara police arrested four persons including a woman and seized 36 kgs of dry ganja worth Rs 1.80 lakh from them on Wednesday

Mahabubabad: Peddavangara police arrested four persons including a woman and seized 36 kgs of dry ganja worth Rs 1.80 lakh from them on Wednesday. The arrested were identified as Vankudothu  Bhadri alias Bhadramma, Chikkudu Vijay  Kumar alias Ranjith, Gundu Rakesh and Kompelli Krishna.

According to the police, a team of police led by SI T Ram Charan have conducted checks in an RTC bus as they received some specific information that few persons were transporting ganja, and took the four into custody. During the questioning, the four confessed that they were going to Secunderabad to sell the ganja.  In 2015, Bhadramma, who is also running a garment shop at Thorrur town, was arrested by the Kesamudram police and spent some time in the prison in connection with the ganja smuggling. Police have registered a case against the accused.
