Rajanna-Sircilla: IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday said political tourists who were visiting the State would have to pack up after December 11 as the TRS was going to capture power in the State by winning 100 seats.

Referring to AICC president Rahul Gandhi’s comments that democracy was under threat in Telangana, he said Rahul should be ashamed of making such statements since it was the AICC leader’s grandmother, Indira Gandhi, who imposed emergency in the country.

The Minister made these comments while participating in a roadshow in Sircilla town on Wednesday. The upcoming elections were not being held to elect him as an MLA but were being conducted to protect the self-respect of Telangana. Moreover, the entire country was looking towards Telangana polls which would have an impact on the parliament elections. So, people should elect the TRS with a thumping majority, enabling the party to play a vital role in the formation of the government at the Centre.

Rama Rao questioned, “how the Congress could enter an alliance with the TDP led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who abused UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi indiscriminately”.

It was a shame on the part of the Congress which failed to recruit at least 10,000 jobs during its 10-year tenure to blame the TRS which filled a number of vacant posts.

Referring former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s statements that Telangana would go dark if the separate State was formed, Rama Rao said Telangana, under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, became a role model for the country on all fronts.

The Minister said while he was given birth by his mother, Sircilla had given birth to his political life. He assured the people to make the constituency number one in the State if he was elected. He also promised to establish a government engineering college in Sircilla and a train facility within two years.

Godavari water to Choppadandi: KTR

IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao promised to bring the Godavari waters to Choppadandi constituency if the TRS was voted to power in the State.

The Minister on Wednesday participated in a roadshow in Gangadhara mandal headquarters in support of TRS Choppadandi candidate Ravi Shankar. Speaking on the occasion, he assured people of the constituency to fill all tanks and other water bodies with the Godavari water if Ravi Shankar was elected.

“With a view to burying the Congress, former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao formed the TDP; however, the same party has joined hands with the Congress. It is a great humiliation to NTR,” he said.

“Should KCR step down for introducing Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, KCR Kits, Aasara pensions, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima and giving 24-hour power to agriculture?” He questioned.
