Poor sanitation greets Errabelli in Warangal Rural villages

As a part of the ‘special sanitation drive’ being taken up by the government, the Minister visited several villages in the district

Warangal Rural: Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Monday expressed his ire over the poor sanitary conditions at Dharmaram village in the district, and directed the officials concerned to initiate action against the negligent staff.

As a part of the ‘special sanitation drive’ being taken up by the government, the Minister visited several villages in the district. At his native village, Parvathagiri, he inspected the drains and directed the sarpanch, panchayat secretary and sanitary staff to them effectively.

“The government has taken up the special sanitation drive with a view to checking vector borne diseases,” he said and called upon villagers to keep their surroundings clean.

Later, he inspected an RTC bus and asked the staff not allow passengers without masks. At Somaram village, the Minister inspected the paddy procurement centre and interacted with farmers. He also asked the District Collector to see that the paddy procurement was completed by June 9.

Later, he visited Varokole, native village of MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, and laid foundation for the construction of the Rythu Vedika building along with MP P Dayakar, MLC Srinivas Reddy and MLA Challa Dharma Reddy. Later, he participated in a meeting at Gram Panchayat office where farmers vowed to follow ‘regulated farming system’.

Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, District Collector M Haritha, and others were present.
