Quick EoDB feedback expected, says Telangana CS

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary SK Joshi on Thursday wanted the government departments to speed up the process of gathering feedback from users and business houses on the online services being extended by them.

He had a review with the department heads concerned on the measures initiated to collect effective feedback on the 78 action points pertaining to their Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) rankings.

The Chief Secretary said that the State government had already organised awareness camps and conducted online surveys to obtain feedback on the services of different departments including Industries, law, employment, municipal administration, factories, energy, Pollution Control Board and environment. An online survey was also conducted.

The department heads apprised the Chief Secretary of the measures initiated to reach out to the users with improvised services. He commended the efforts of different departments to ensure the implementation of the 372 basic business reform actions recommended by the centre to the States to ensure effective implementation of the EoDB.

The Department of Industrial Promotion and Policy (DIPP) of the Central government had also been gathering feedback on the implementation of reforms as part of the business reforms action plan this year. In this backdrop, the Chief Secretary stressed the need for stepping up the pace of feedback gathering process on the reforms implemented by the State government too in this front.

DIPP had been taking the feedback even from the business sections, architects, electrical contractors and advocates. Improvement in ease of doing business will help attract more investments and better business climate for investors. Telangana topped the 2016 all-India Ease of Doing Business rankings.

Special Chief Secretary, Rajeswar Tiwari, Principal Secretary ( Industries ) Jayesh Ranjan, Commissioner Industries Nadeem Ahmad, Law Secretary, Niranjan Rao, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, P K Jha and Pollution Control Board Secretary, Satyanarayana Reddy were among those who took part in the review.
